We have been focusing ourselves on supporting the onboarding of our Hong Kong insurers to MIDAS, the DLT-based real-time vehicle insurance authentication system. This has been going very well in addition to our continuous development and devotion to Voltron, the letter-of-credit trade finance DLT platform.

21 Feb – Andrew Shared CryptoBLK Vision with Harvard Business School Alumni Board
Our CTO Andrew Hon was invited by professional investors from the Harvard Business School Alumni Board to share CryptoBLK’s vision and philosophy. The meeting was highly dynamic, with engagement and interaction from audience members. This was followed by a Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurs luncheon, where Andrew discussed potential cross-border Fintech opportunities specifically in the arenas of Blockchain in the Bay area.
21 Feb – Congratulations for Bangkok Bank’s Voltron Pilot Completion
As the technical delivery partner of Voltron, CryptoBLK congratulates Bangkok Bank for their successful completion of their letter of credit transactions on Voltron. The transaction was able to cut processing times by more than 50%. We are also thrilled to join the fourth Voltron workshop in Bangkok to discuss future developments with the eight founding banks.
Since 2017, CryptoBLK was appointed by R3 to develop the CordApp, Voltron, a blockchain-based open industry platform to create, exchange, approve, and issue Letters of Credit on Corda. The 8 founding member banks are Bangkok Bank, BNP Paribas, CTBC, HSBC, ING, Natwest, SEB and Standard Chartered.
Voltron will improve the trade finance process by simplifying letters of credit, delivering shorter settlement times, instant discrepancy resolution and simplified sanctions screening. Voltron is inviting banks, technology partners, and corporates to join the network.
